Overview
The Frankston District Netball Association exists to enrich their community through netball. Their old website wasn't keeping up — hard to navigate, outdated, and not built for the members and clubs it was meant to serve. We built them something better.
The challenge
A site that wasn't serving its community
FDNA is a busy association — multiple clubs, hundreds of members, regular competitions, and a constant need to communicate news and updates. Their existing website made all of that harder than it needed to be.
Information was buried, the mobile experience was poor, and the site didn't reflect the energy and professionalism of the association itself. Members were frustrated; the admin team was spending too much time fielding questions that should have been answered online.
The outcome
Clear, fast, and built for the community
The new site gives members exactly what they need, fast — news, draws, registration, club information, and contact details all easy to find on any device.
The association now has a platform they're proud of, one that reflects the size and importance of what they do in the Frankston community.
Our approach
How we worked
01 — Discovery
Understanding the association and its members
We started by understanding how the association operates — the clubs, the competitions, the admin workflows, and how members actually use the site. That groundwork shaped every decision we made.
02 — Design
Structured for clarity, designed for community
We prioritised clear navigation and a design that felt energetic without being busy. The site needed to work for a broad audience — players, parents, officials, and administrators alike.
03 — Build & Launch
Fast, mobile-first, easy to manage
Built on WordPress with a focus on simplicity for the admin team. Fast load times, a clean mobile experience, and a content structure the association can manage themselves without needing a developer.
